What would a Flesh and Blood tabletop RPG look like?

Flesh and Blood TCG has provided players with a very rich and detailed world to explore. Through small windows of cardboard, LSS (Legend Story Studios) only provide players with a glimpse of the story and world which they've built.

What more could LSS possibly be planning to do with this vast and rich world of Rathe?

Similar to Dungeons and Dragons, one could imagine there being individual campaign books that explored the different realms of Rathe. A player could take on many different classes that each are very unique. We can get a sense of how they may play out in such a game through playing the trading card game of Flesh and Blood. For example, a player may choose to be a warrior, which will have a focus on strength and speed, but then the players skill (light and dark for example) will differentiate the overall traits and abilities which will affect you parties ability to take on the quest which you have embarked on. The possibilities that LSS can take with Flesh and Blood are endless, but care must be taken to ensure that the brands integrity is maintained.

Escapism is something that has become a valuable commodity over the last few years.

The way the lore has been presented to us suggests to me that this may be a product which may be in the works further down the road once the trading card game develops the main story line of Flesh and Blood.

You can read about the World of Rathe on the FabTCG website here.

Something we need to ask however, is whether Legend Story Studios would be ready to embark on such a pricey venture? Especially given the current state of global turmoil. International freight and oil prices will remain affected by the conflict in the Ukraine for some time. This will inevitably affect the price of goods made and sold globally.

Escapism is something that has become a valuable commodity over the last few years. Valuable to our mental health at the very least. The price and risk of such a venture however, may be to great currently, especially given that they should probably be focusing all of their attention to continuing the success of the trading card game. Which only continues to grow in popularity and player base everyday.

I don't believe LSS would like to compromise they integrity of the brand, so they're being very careful with how they present it. James White has stated that he decided to include Duskblade in the Tales of Aria set because it suited the 'Flavor' of the set. This suggests that a lot of care goes into the world building and lore aspects of the trading card game.

I don't believe that the idea of LSS bringing out a tabletop RPG is out of the realm of possibility. They've set themselves up with a rich and dynamic IP that will potentially stand the test of time.

Personally, I would love nothing more than to get lost in the World of Rathe. Leaving some things to the imagination however is always best practice.
